Here is some colour inspiration for the summer featuring some of our favourite colours from Little Greene. We couldn’t be more proud to offer these beautiful paints in our shop and they truly have the best selection of colours. There is a lot to choose from and it can be difficult to decide, so we have put these schemes together to hopefully make it a little bit easier for you!
Bombolone
Bombolone is a gorgeous, mellow honey colour from Little Greene’s Sweet Treats collection. Inspired by the Italian doughnuts of the same name, which are often eaten for breakfast or with a coffee, this colour is as sweet and comforting as its namesake. We have paired it with Silent White, a neutral off-white with a hint of yellow warmth, as well as Galette, another colour from the Sweet Treats, and Light Bronze Green, a really striking, earthy gold.
Baked Cherry
Baked Cherry is an absolutely enchanting crimson red that is really classic and elegant. This is truly one of our favourite Little Greene colours, perfect colour for studies and dining rooms but also works brilliantly for accent furniture or stand-out room features. Here you can see it with Clay – Pale, a light warm neutral that adds a calming feel, as well as Yellow Pink which is a strong, rich mustard, and Córdoba, a sumptuous aubergine tone.
Orange Aurora
This energetic, retro-inspired colour scheme features Slaked Lime, Marine Blue, Atomic Red, Orange Aurora and Confetti. Orange Aurora is a fantastically vibrant, eye-catching coral colour from the 1950s which makes for a phenomenal accent colour that adds so much character. It looks amazing next to Atomic Red for even more vibrancy and excitement. Slaked Lime is an immensely popular, pure neutral white that is really versatile and gives a soft, warm look.
Linen Wash
The delicate, natural off-white colour you see here is Linen Wash, which gives a really calm and refreshing feel. This modern, earthy scheme consists of Nether Red, Linen Wash, Roman Plaster, Boxington and Pompeian Ash. Boxington is a tasteful, reduced lime colour that quietly adds character and a contemporary touch. Pompeian Ash is a powerful dark grey-green that gives depth and balance and was originally found in a prestigious National Trust property.
Tea with Florence
Tea with Florence, another tremendously popular colour from Little Greene, is a remarkable peacock hue that is brimming with character. It was found at Claydon House in Buckinghamshire in what was known as the Chinese Room, following the Chinoiserie trend that came from international travel and trade in the eighteenth century and brought with it the ritual of tea drinking. This room saw many visitors including the famous nurse Florence Nightingale, which gave inspiration to the name of this amazing paint. Here you can see it next to Pearl Colour – Pale, Celestial Blue and Harley Green for a peaceful, monochromatic blue-green scheme.
Hopefully these colour schemes have given you some inspiration for your next interior design project, as well as an insight into just how many options there are from Little Greene. We cannot emphasize enough how phenomenal these paints are and we are thrilled to be working with this company. Why not come visit our showroom in Redbrick and see the Little Greene display for yourself? We also mix the paints in our store ready to take away!
